The foundation needs to be laid to allow people to be able to access the internet without the worry of the costs involved.

So why don’t they just moderate there internet access, well that’s easier said than done, there are lots of sites out there on the internet, and finding the correct one can take forever?
Well, if libraries charged you to access there books you would’t visit them, well not as often and it would take you longer to find out the information you needed, and then you would only read the books which you new the information would be in and not even bother reading any of the others, you would be very choosy in what you read, and were the source of the information came from.
This surly would give everybody the same information and lead everybody down the same road.
As an individual I’m find it very hard to moderate my Internet access, And feel that this medium is fast becoming a vital part of life.
I have grown up with technology and have taken part in some huge leaps, see the internet grow from a underground medium to a commercial one, the internet is one of the best parts of computing, being able to connect computers world wide, is astounding, and the applications which have immerged are out of this world, well the internet is going to grow even stronger, and become better and better, With this in mind I feel that the this country is being seriously held back in the growth of the internet, especially in the uses of the technology and finding of new applications for it.

In the united states they have, as standard in mostly every single state FREE LOCAL CALL’S, as all it takes to access the internet is a LOCAL CALL, most of there computer literate population have access, and are taking advantage of this In the setting up of new companies and truly dominating the internet, only the otherday I spoke to a 6 year old in the USA, who can type faster than me, and is well ahead of me in internet technology. this is due to him being online most of his spare time, and he sees it as a hobby.

the internet is build into there communities now, and they don't really see it as a luxury but as a necessity, ok the USA made the internet and developed it to its capacity, but its totally out of there hands now.

Let's get Britain surfing, and allow all to find there talents & free there full potential using the internet.

WHY?

Let's move Britain into the next century, lets be at the forefront in finding new applications for the internet.

In the 1950's nobody could ever have ever expected the applications television would bring, when it was first launched, people didn't really understand the meaning of it, and couldn't really foresee the new applications it would bring, such as programs, news, comedy, and many other trades, designing of sets, lighting, special effect, if however we could have foresee the applications that TV would have brought we could have lead the world, we could have had Hollywood here, instead of in the USA, lets not make the same mistake with the internet. Imagine I said to you in the 1950’s that one day there would be a box in your home which you could watch pictures of people from different countries on, and see how people lived, that a one day a man would land on the moon and you would be able to watch this in your own home, that news would be delivered to you real time, live from a country far far away from us I believe (no it's true) that the internet, will take over TV, TV will become one of it's many applications, along with new and more wonderful things. Let's try to think of the applications that the internet will bring, the biggest in my opinion is going to be the communications on a world wide scale, being able to talk to people, and buy things on a truly global stage. new products, which you could never imagine will be sold world wide? Well we now about the internet and how it works so IM not really going to go into that, I would like to try and foresee were the internet will lead, like what new application which will be created. Imagine being able to speak to people without the need to worry about censorship, or being controlled by what you say, well this is going to have the most impact in the scientific communities, they will be able to communicate with like minded people who specialise in there own field, but are working on completely different aspects, imagine they were to come together and merge there knowledge, this will excel the rate at which there research evolves and yes it will evolve at an astounding rate. The computer industry is probably one of the most fast moving industries on the planet, and by far the most profitable, but this will all change, we can only go so far with the technology, it's what we do with it, that will astound us, being able to tap into new fields not yet defined by any of are knowledge. Let's not be scared of the internet, let's embrace it, and allow it to release us as individuals. It's here and it's going to run our lives, let's get it to run to are advantage!
